dinner at 11:00... "no kidding"

We forgot to mention how long (but enjoyable and amazing) our days have been. We begin each day by meeting for breakfast at 7:30am. The day is packed with events with us not returning to the hotel to eat dinner until 10:30-11:00pm. Last night was no exception, but we were happily presented with a huge meal even past the closing time of the restaurant. It consisted of pickled bologna salad, rice, beans, pizza, chicken and …roasted goat (sorry Rebecca).  It was all very good (even the pickled bologna). Stay tuned for another amazing day today.

That is blasphemous - I just need to know if McKinley and Greg partook? If so, you might need to leave them in Africa.
I pray your sleep is sweet!

Hey team,

Dunno if anyone's told you yet, but it's FALL here! It was a glorious brisk day in the mid- to upper 60's. Same for tomorrow. Even better than breaking out the fall wardrobe, though, is getting to hear Harriet's heart tomorrow. Yay!

Thinking about you all and the glorious worship you'll be sharing in at the farm tomorrow morning. It's hard to say whether I'd rather be here or there.

Aa--Love you and miss you soooo much. Thanks for the update on the trash day. We're gonna need it this week!

We had thunderstorms last night (the price for today's cool weather, I suppose) which flickered the power several times. When I finally handed Mom my Talenti and went to secure a flashlight, the lights came back on for good! But the thunder and lightening woke Juju and he just couldn't get settled. :( He spent the night in bed with me, which makes me question the sanity of the family-bed proponents. Maybe I didn't sleep much because I was worried about Jude slipping off your side of the bed with only Dex to act as a guard rail, but I'll tell you, that's not happening again any time soon.

Thankfully, Mom let me take a nap today and that helped some. She's taken over your job of loading the dishwasher, but I must say, she's not doing a very good job! Oh well. Better than doing it myself!

She had to run out to CVS to get some alone time today. I think the activity level is getting to her. Fortunately, the kids were outside quite a bit today. They should sleep well at least.

Siah wants you to know her make-up class at gymnaskits was taught by Rachel. :) She's been giving Gma a little attitude today.

Sam is definitely missing you. I got beat up and climbed on quite a bit today! And he's been extra lovey. Which, of course, I don't mind.

I miss snuggling on the couch with you and co-parenting with you and just sharing life with you. I'm so proud of you and the things you are doing there, but esp the man you are. Gulu/Lajwatek are blessed to rub elbows with you, as is the team you are serving alongside.

I hope you brought plenty of granola bars! See you in a few days!!!!

Nothing like a great 15 hour day, I love those on trips. It is incredible to hear about all the Lord is doing. I just have a few questions for you guys:

1. How many Fanta/Marinda's is Ashley at. I say the over under is 32 at this point(Make ashley count em)

2. Has anyone been hit by a Twizzler yet?

3. Who won the last game of Bull?

4. What is the official brick count at?

5. Has everyone eaten the morning sausage offered at the hotel, I think it is in the trip manuel that everyone has to eat at least one?

6. Has Aaron challenged Edward to an arm wrestling competition yet? We need to see what the Iron Man is really made off

7. Have you seen Eric walk like a gorilla yet? Make sure that he give a demonstration before you leave Gulu, it is priceless.

You guys are doing amazing things in the Lord's strength, keep taking in every moment He gives you on this trip.

I miss being with you guys
